The Creekside Retreat

Some people may think that in order to get new looks we have to replace the old one. It can be true sometimes, but some people prefer to make something based on what they already have. This means they modify things. Richardson Architects uses creativity very well and the result is The Creekside Retreat. Located exactly in the middle of redwood grove, and is flanked with the creek and rock walls of slope, this home are perfect choice for people who highly value the nature. The original building was built for the first time in 1954, and now has turned into a very nice hideaway for family in California. Completed with dynamic atmosphere, this home is overwhelmed with natural touch of color and light given by the surrounding.

The Creekside Retreat

Based on the demand of the client to keep the historical side of the home, Richardson Architects built this beautiful family getaway. In order to fulfill everything the client’s wants, a compact modification is a must thing to do. This includes the installation of larger windows and skylights for the lighting as well as creating space at the second story for master suite. By looking at the picture, we can tell how cozy this home is.
