Guest Bedroom Decorating Ideas – It’s about learning to make a room that’s peaceful, serene, and relaxing. I studied lots of distinct little bedroom decorating ideas since this room is really tiny!
Warm welcome
Bare bedrooms in many cases are overlooked, particularly when they are rarely used in regards to home decorating. This space also will be the lowest room in the house decorating can not be easy. But all it requires to make an encouraging space is a number of thoughtful touches along with some basic furniture.

  • Sleep simple: Use throw pillows to inject colour.
  • Pretty and practical: A couple thoughtful inclusions will make your guests’ stay comfortable.
  • Streamlined appearance: Straightforward furniture makes little spaces appear cluttered.

  • Colour
In transforming our extra room into an inviting guest quarters, the initial step was to select the colour for the walls. Light colours make little rooms seem more spacious and airy, but we did not need to choose for simple white as this would seem overly bare. We used a soft, chalky light green.
  • Flooring
A dim lumber flooring will make a room look smaller. To add to the chimera of space, we chose to paint a white enamel polish from Bristol on the floorboards.
  • Drapes
To keep prices down, French doors and the window were dressed with ready made drapes in a neutral color.
  • Bedding
The existing bed had a bed and a padded leather headboard -end, which did not suit the new scheme.
  • Light
For pendant lights rather than lamps, we selected for a much more modern appearance. The lights controlled by dimmer switches within easy range of the bed and are placed over the bedside tables.
  • Storage
Freestanding wardrobes are not crucial in a bedroom that is rarely used and occupy lots of room.
  • Shelving
To give the room a lived-in look, a couple of floating shelves were attached to the wall and used to display interesting objects and a few books.
  • Chairs
To inject some colour into the scheme that is mostly neutral, an occasional seat along with a couple throw pillows were covered in a glowing patterned cloth.

Selecting smaller pieces of furniture, including a double bed rather than a queen as well as a three-drawer chest rather than a tallboy, will make the space cramped.
Freestanding wardrobes take up tons of space – consider installing a built in storage unit in an adjoining hall.

Search for simple window dressings. To make French doors and windows seem taller, choose long drapes in a light-coloured fabric. In case the window is west or east facing, consider installing a blind in addition to drapes to block out sunlight and keep the room cool on hot days.
