People may have a different reason of renovating their home. Some of them decided to renovate their home because they found some areas of their home that really need treatment. There are also homeowners who think that renovation is the only way to refresh the home as well as improving the value of the home. For Danielle Colding’s client, the home can turn into a small gallery for her eclectic art collection. To fulfill the client’s demand, Danielle used the already existing combination of vintage and modern furniture to create a color palette to refresh the home. The project also involves adding new pieces of furniture and rejuvenating the old pieces.
For the designer, this project could be one of her favorites because the client gave her enough space for improvisation. She held a permission to apply her signature technique on the project, layering. This was great, and the client could enjoy the result more immediately. For the designer, having such an opportunity to work with not so much demanding client is a rare opportunity because usually clients have set very detailed rule related to the project to get what they really want. The project started from the main rooms, and then it spread to the other areas of the home. Right after the project was finished, a very dynamic home with great warmth and comfort appears.
