Do not throw the old stuffs away, perhaps we can make something more beautiful based on those. That is what makes many people thinking about modification. In the architecture world, we might be more familiar with the word remodeling. The basic principle from both remodeling and modification is the same, making some adjustments, alterations, or changes on something to improve its value, appearance, or performance. Klopf Architecture had done all those to a family home in Burlingame, California. The professionals working in there remodeled the home into Eichler home as per the client’s request. The project coverage is including the open plan family room, remove some walls and add windows, reconfigure the bathrooms/ laundry areas and upgrade systems.

As for the decoration, the homeowners decided to handle the works themselves. They brought in the mid-century modern furniture pieces to give the vintage touch to the home. All the furniture they brought in, and along with the original art they decided to create an interesting view of modern interiors. Another highlighted feature of this home that we should check is the inner terrace. It could turn into the alternative venue to spend a holiday with family. So, what do you think about this home?
